A Message from the Principal

Welcome to East Brunswick High School and its proud tradition of Excellence in Academics, Athletics and the Arts. We are very proud of our students and the work ethic they display through their achievements and accomplishments in every aspect of our program. Our highly professional staff engages our students and challenges them to work to their potential, and our parents and community support our school in so many ways.

East Brunswick High School has a comprehensive curriculum geared to meet the needs of our 2300 students in grades 10-12, and to prepare our students for the twenty-first century. The curriculum is evaluated through an ongoing process to ensure that our students are given the best possible opportunity to compete on the National level.

East Brunswick High School has been designated as a School of Excellence by the United States Department of Education. In the April 1996 edition of Redbook Magazine, East Brunswick High School was named as the best high school in the state of New Jersey. In 1997 the New Jersey Department of Education named East Brunswick High School as a Star School. In 1999 the Star Ledger named our school as one of the schools that colleges recognize as having the best prepared students. The 2004 Middle States Accreditation Team, in their evaluation report stated "East Brunswick High School is without a doubt one of the finest high schools in the Nation!"

The mean SAT score for the Class of 2009 was 1155 (1713 with writing). Last spring our students took 906 A.P. exams with 95% receiving a passing grade of 3 or higher. Approximately 97% of our students go on to post secondary education with 75% going on to four year institutions of higher education. In addition 65% of our seniors are enrolled in AP courses and/or college courses at the high school offered through Middlesex County College.

Our school is part of our district technology plan; it is the center of a private fiber gigabit network routing voice, video and data to all 12 district buildings. Throughout the district there are approximately 5,000 network drops. Each one of those connections allows high speed connectivity to all networked services and a 10Meg connection to the Internet. The high school features over 600 computers that are available to the students and staff.

East Brunswick High School is a school that excels in all areas of student life. In fact, over 75% of our students participate in at least one club, activity, or on an athletic team. Our students have been successful in and out of the classroom earning State and National acclaim!

2010-2011 Course Request Form

Starting today and ending midnight, February 15 each EBHS student has an opportunity to complete the Natural Helpers survey below. The purpose of this survey is to identify students and staff members in our school you trust and to whom you can talk to if you have a problem and secondly, to identify the kinds of concerns that you believe are the major issues for you and your friends. Give careful thought to the names you identify for the survey, so that they are really trusted, helpful, and caring people for you. Putting a person's name on the survey does not mean that they must participate in the program.

This survey is anonymous and confidential.
